2017: Day 9 Remember that time you were invited to a great party but you were the only one that showed up? Yeah, neither do I. But, sadly, Joanne F is quite familiar with it! Here’s how it went down. It started out as a great idea a couple years ago. She was going to be … [Read more…]

“First Responder”

December 16, 2017 by lchamaschuk Leave a Comment

2017: Day 8 Thank you. It shouldn’t take a tragedy like the one in Abbotsford on November 6 to thank those that selflessly place themselves in harm’s way for our safety. Thankfully, losing first responders is a relatively rare occurrence in Canada, which is why it was a sobering moment. We want to thank our … [Read more…]

2017: Day 5 It’s all your fault Robbie!! Well ok not really, but you had a big part to play in this one. Joel mentioned that this is the year of Goodbyes. Well we weren’t the one who started the trend!! 2017 saw several of our friends make some Rather Radical changes and depart the Lower … [Read more…]

“Ishita”

2017: Day 4 This little number starts out with some serious heat and sass (a whole lotta shut-up) but mellows out until it finishes on a seriously sweet note. And the drink does the same. Badda-bing badda-boom. It’s fair to say that this year’s crop of drinks will continue to focus on moving on to … [Read more…]

“Unicorn Tears” (aka “The BQ”)

December 14, 2016 by lchamaschuk Leave a Comment

2016: Day 8 I’m sure that everyone reading this has heard of the Boston Marathon as it’s probably the most famous marathon in the world, if not the oldest standing race. What most people don’t realize is how difficult it is to make it to the starting line. You can’t just sign up for Boston; … [Read more…]

“Light it Up”

2016: Day 5 “She believed she could, so she did”. Tonight we celebrate our good friend Sarah. We met Sarah a little over a year ago when spinning in Tammi’s garage. At the time, she had a marathon under her belt as well as two sprint distance triathlons. She had just signed up for Ironman which … [Read more…]

“Vive le France”

December 6, 2015 by lchamaschuk Leave a Comment

2015: Day 4 Visiting France has been on our bucket list for years. We finally got to spend two and a half weeks there in late September/early October. It lived up to all our expectations! Resembling the French flag, this drink is layered with grenadine, peach schnapps and a mix of blue curacao, mandarin vodka … [Read more…]

“The Lindsey”

December 12, 2014 by lchamaschuk Leave a Comment

2014: Day 2 The “Lindsey“, much like its namesake, has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. A kicked up Caesar, it is made with Clamato, jalapeno infused ice wine (The Flame), vodka and a few spices, this little red head can pack quite the punch if you don’t respect it.

“The Soraya”

December 23, 2011 by lchamaschuk Leave a Comment

Tonight in our 12 Days of Drinking, we feature the “Soraya”. This blend of vodka, grenadine, coke and nuclear lemon slush is sooo easy on the palate but can smack you down pretty hard without warning if you let your guard down.
